Negative ImpactFor years, humans have further damaged the ecosystem by hunting many species of animals, such as lions and elephants, to the point of extinction
or critical endangerment. Ancient tribes who live on the reserve, including the people of Sans, also known as Bushmen, kill smaller animals mercilessly for meat and fur. Extracting key native animal species ruins the ecological balance of the ecosystem. Besides targeting the animals, humans have lessened the area of land by making new space for agriculture and industrialization. The population of the savannah therefore decreases. Positive ImpactPositive impact from humans come in the form of money from tourism. This money goes to the African tour guides. In the long run, it motivates the native people to preserve the conservation area and reduce poaching.
